Afrik Lounge Radio - Young Africans Making A Difference: eLDee (Nigeria)

eLDee

The Afrik Lounge Radio hosts have a good laugh about that hapless Civil Defence Commandant (now suspended) who didn't know his organisation's website address and tried to wing it on national TV, and question the spending habits and misplaced priorities of Nigerians following the news that one state governor had given 2Face Idibia's wife a car and had offered to fly 20 of her relatives to Dubai for the wedding, before they're joined by eLDee. eLDee, one of the pioneers of hip hop in Nigeria, is a singer/songwriter, producer and record label owner with a growing empire, and one of the most recognisable names in urban music from Nigeria.

The interview touches on eLDee's music (obviously), his Trybe Records roster and the phenomenon of Western record labels coming to sign acts in Africa.
