While there's no lack of beauty pageants in the Netherlands, and there have been a couple of African diaspora Miss competitions, last December's Miss Africa Netherlands united beauties from all over the continent, including a few girls of Dutch and African parents. Augustina Austin and Kenneth Aidoo (This Is Africa) visited Miss Africa Netherlands and interviewed the contestants about their origins, their reasons for participating in the competition and their musical tastes.
