Krukid was born and raised in Uganda. He formed the Urban Thugz with a group of friends and won a countrywide music competition in early 2000, then moved to the United States in 2002.
Under the label Cash Hill he would eventually put out his debut album 'Raisin in the Sun'. In 2007 Krukid was officially selected to be part of the Rawkus 50 list, a selection by underground hip hop label Rawkus of the most promising upcoming talent. Rawkus records was famous for many underground hip hop acts such as Company Flow, Mos Def and Talib Kweli, Common, and Pharaoh Monch to name a few. Krukid then formed the group A.R.M. (African Rebel Movement) together with Ghanaian rapper M.anifest and producer Budo. They released an EP in 2010 called 'Two Africans And A Jew' and their first official video 'Heaven Only Knows' featured underground rapper Brother Ali.
