Singer, songwriter and producer Capsolys was born in Mbuji-Mayi, DR Congo in 1983, but moved to Belgium when he was little. When politics in the country apparently became more stable they moved back to DR Congo. This didn’t last for long and the family moved to South Africa when Capsolys was seven. That is where he rooted and started his career in music. He became inspired when watching the gospel choirs in the church where his father used to preach. Capsolys labels his own music as conscious and positive hip hop. It is supposed to bring happiness to the hearts op people.
As a teenager Capsolys released his first single ‘Things Are As They Are’ signed at Gresham Records. The single brought him as far as London, where he did several shows. Back in South Africa he started his own record label, Bouge Records. Under his own label Capsolys is producing young South African artists, who he supports to open doors in the music industry. He established a contract with a big petroleum company that finances quarterly compilations of his production. The first album of the ‘Jam In The Traffic’ sponsoring deal, already delivered ‘Jam 1’.
