Dj Zaga is a multi talented artist based in Akron, Ohio. He was born in Ghana on April 14, 1983 as Cedric Mensah Duah. Growing up in a home with an assortment of records and art, he gained the love for music while experimenting with control buttons on the record player which sometimes got him in trouble with his parents.

He started his career as a DJ in 2003 while pursuing a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering at the University of Akron (Ohio, USA). Dj Zaga soon got invited to play music during house parties and smaller events in and around campus. From there, he got to play at nightclubs, lounge bars, pubs, parties, weddings and corporate functions. He’s worked for various radio stations including SnG radio (Cincinnati) and Ak24 radio (Columbus) just to mention a few.

DJ Zaga holds a regular show on African Hit Radio, the web radio stream at Thisisafrica.me. He also represented This is Africa as the official dj during the closing event of the 2012 African Economic Forum at Columbia University in New York.

He currently holds a masters degree in Civil Engineering.
