With as many hustles as JJC has going, the Nigerian-born London-based songwriter / rapper / singer and music video producer JJC is justified in giving himself an extra pseudonym – Skillz.

The thriving Nigerian Afro Pop scene has a lot to thank him for. To begin with, D’Banj and Don Jazzy – now giants on the scene – are his musical protégés.

JJC (also lead member for his 419 squad) actually started off as one of the lead members for now-defunct UK urban pop group Big Brovaz. Then he went on to produce for Top 40 pop names like Lemar, Jamelia and Liberty X. 

Yes we are!

Now wearing his solo artist hat, JJC is on a mission to mobilise Africans everywhere to announce their identity loud and proud. We are Africans soundtracks a movement he formally kick started on tour in Nigeria last December.

Suffice to say, many have heeded the call. A plethora of remixes have emerged, such as this official one, as well as another funk house version featuring Ghanaian rapper Sway.

All of this leads up to the release of his forthcoming album United States of Africa, which will include this track Skankers.
