Is Keko the next big thing?

Keko - Town

Here’s a talent that sneaked up on us, so forgive us for missing her on our list of Five female emcees you should know.

From what we’ve found out, Keko is really new to the game but might well be the next big thing. And a great thing that would be as the Ugandan scene boasts very few female emcees.

In this video she’s like Eminem meets Rah Diggah, commanding vocals, nice flow and the lyrics aren’t half bad. Alwoo (which means cry for help in her native language Japadhola) is the first single from her debut album, which will be released early in 2011. On the strength of this single alone this promises to be a big one.
