FOKN Bois & Irie Maffia Remixes

The FOKN Dunaquest in Budapest Remix Album by Irie Maffia Production

“We are the future, this is Africa.” Remember that refrain? 'course you do. They're the words with which Ghanaian pidgin-rap duo The FOKN Bois welcomed you to their sonic Hiphop/Dance/Afropop Eastern Europe meets West Africa collaborative adventure with the Hungarian band of deejays, singers, songwriters, producers and rappers known as Irie Maffia just a few months ago (see The FOKN DunaQuest in Budapest).

Enjoyed that? Well, guess what? Some of the finest Hungarian and international Global Bass producers got their hands on the tracks and have turned out this 9-track album of absolutely kickin' remixes. Moobahton, dubstep, cumbia, bassline, UK funky, it's all here, folks (courtesy of Slap In The Bass, Nobody Moves, Superstereo, URH and Jumo Daddy (Irie Maffia), Frikstailers, Hijo De La Cumbia, Dj Vadim, Flore and Big Dope P).

And — this you're gonna love (particularly we're all a bit hard up these days) — as the release coincides (more or less) with Irie Maffia producer ELO's 30th birthday he's decided to make the album a FREE DOWNLOAD. But ONLY for one month, so grab it now, courtesy of ELO and Akwaaba Music.

Incidentally, Akwaaba have got just added a section for free stuff like this, so bookmark, visit, help yourself to some tunes, and show your appreciation by also checking out the paid stuff. It's only fair.

But right now, download and turn up the volume on The FOKN Dunaquest in Budapest Remix Album.
