With a guest appearance by Modenine on the funky Fuji intro followed by some conscious lyrics deftly dropped over Afrobeat-informed beats on Afro Rhyme Sayer, Nigerian lyricist Fecko the Emcee aka Raplogic (Ifeanyi Ibegbunam) introduces himself to the wider world on free 9-cut EP that's part ode to Africa and intelligent hip-hop, and part welcome to Lagos.
Afro Rhyme Sayer is a standout track, but we're also taken with Raw African Poetry and the reggae groove of Ill Meditation, but frankly Fecko and Producer Teck-Zilla keep the quality high all the way through with good raps and head-bopping, foot-tapping beats.
Fecko's been on the Nigerian rap scene since 2005, appearing on mixtapes, dropping one of his own, but really seems to be coming into his own on the evidence of The Rap Logic. We look forward to his new album, slated for release later this year. In the meantime don't hesitate to DOWNLOAD this.
