DJ Meji ft. Kibistone - Spotlights (2011) by Djmeji

Bounce, sweat and wave your hands in the air to this cracking new release by DJ Meji featuring Kibistone (both of whom got a mention in our piece about Congolese urban music in a world of global influences).

You digging it? Well, get ready for more 'cos DJ Meji is prepping to drop his first mixtape titled I'm a Soldier of Music, so this single is something to whet your appetite.

DJ Meji (aka In The World) is one of the leading urban DJs in Kinshasa (he's the resident DJ at the Fiesta Club and has opened for acts like The GameBooba, La Fouine, Lynsha, Fally Ipupa, Sefyu, Passi, Ferre Gola, Kaysha and many more).

DJ Meji will handle the production in collaboration with a variety of artists mostly from Congo. Confirmed thus far (besides Kibistone) are the young Congolese (by way of Charlotte NC) emcee Well$, Poison (Congo/France) and Sam.

We'll keep you posted on the mixtape.
