If you've never heard the name OJB Jezreel (Babatunde Jezreel Okungbowa) aka Jigga Man, you're not alone. Despite working with a pretty decent list of familiar Nigerian names - D’Banj, Daddy Showkey, Ruggedman, Baba Dee, etc., for the past two decades, and producing hits for quite a few along the way - the most well known of which was the mega-selling single African Queen for 2Face Idibia - and despite scoring the occasional hit as a performer, such as Pretete (from the album No Drama; "Pretete" refers to the involuntary movement of a woman's backside), which remains a club banger in Nigeria years after it was released, his name remains familiar mostly to Nigerian music nerds only (and they rate him highly).

Perhaps it's because he's spent more time producing than performing (although he does have five albums under his belt; you can listen to them all at iRoking, and a couple are available on iTunes). Whatever the case, he seems to have become more active, and consistent as a performer in the last couple of years. His last album, Format, was well received, and It's All About You (above) and See Me Up (below) indicate another step up in his game. The latter, in particular, which lays that Naija sound over the beat from Mokobe's Oulala, should introduce him to a wider, and perhaps more international, public.
