Uncle Obama, I like the size of your banana,
Can I give it to my "monkey",
It will be so very happy.

Probably the most suggestively amusing song we've heard since FOKN Wit Ewe, Uncle Obama, by Ghanaian TV host Deborah Vanessa, aka Sister Deborah, displays the sort of irreverence found in anything by the FOKN Bois,  and, as with that duo's music, the "story" is more told than sung, but is backed by a sufficiently danceable beat. The first time you hear this though, you'll probably be listening closely and chuckling rather than bopping your head

It probably won't surprise you then to learn that Sister Deborah (Deborah Vanessa Owusu-Bonsu) is Wanlov the Kubolor's sister (Wanlov is one half of the FOKN Bois). This isn't simply a case of little sister emulating her big brother, though. She's quite the renaissance woman in her own right: graphic artist, fashion designer, TV host, events mc, model (she's the first face you see in Sarkodie's U Go Kill Me video), and now pidgin rap joker? Unfortunately not; this is just a one off, so download, enjoy, and drop by her Twitter or Facebook page to convince her to release more.

  • "Heart of Light" - DJ Zhao's Classic African Rumba and Soukous mix

“Heart of Light” , the last words uttered publicly by democratically elected president Patrice Lumumba at his inauguration address, 3 months before his murder by Belgium and CIA because he dared to oppose the Western global forces of oppression and planned to keep the wealth of the Congo for the Congo.  Freedom and hope was killed in 1961, with disastrous consequences, but The Heart of Light can never die… more >
