Spreading the news: SINKANE, Episode #2 in Okay Africa's mixtape series Africa In Your Earbuds, is out and waiting for you to hit DOWNLOAD.
The idea of the series is to have notable DJs, musicians, producers, and cultural luminaries curate collections of African and African-inspired playlists for your listening pleasure, and as a way to introduce you to some of the new gems from Africa's creative renaissance.
For Episode #2, Sinkane, also known as Ahmed Gallab of Yeasayer, has dug deep into the crates, and into his East African roots, to create a psychedelic journey into Somalia, Sudan, Zambia, Nigeria and more (kicking off with an intro that has Fela's words laid over Dylan's Lay Lady Lay).
