Rapcha the Sayantist (real name Francis Kibe) from Mathare Valley, Nairobi is a presenter at Ghetto Radio, doing the daily breakfast show with King Kafu. He is also a popular standup comedian and in his work he uses Sheng, the slang spoken by the majority of Nairobi youth. Made up of a mixture of Swahili, English, Kikuyu and other languages, Sheng doesn't have any tribal affiliations, it's truly spoken by people from all across the board. In this video Rapcha gives us a quick tour of the language, its use and popularity, and he explains about his work as a comedian.
