Claudia Aderotimi, British born Nigerian rooted, had passed away just a few months ago because of a tragic maltreatment during illegal practices in a "butt enhancement" surgery. Just this morning Ghetto Radio Kenya elevated the issue again and found out some African perceptions on her desired hip hop 'wannabe' image. While Claudia lost her life in this ridiculous sex-appeal game, thousands of African girls desire same ideals and might still be open for the cheapest way getting "it".
In 15minutes time some 84 FB comments were gathered on the question "do you approve this kind of surgeries and while Kenyan girls still desire same kind of ideal bodies, should we encourage them to continue this game?" Most comments were posted by men funnily enough, and - no surprise - dealing with it like a 'stupid woman's game'. But truth to be told, don't most of these men do look for these kind of booties? Who's to blame in this game?
Is this a typical Western game (Claudia died in a New York hotel room under surgery), are women pressured by the Beyoncé glamor looks or is Africa also destined to suffer more casualties from beauty desires? Illegal practices are still on the rise, as over 900 women die every day from illegal abortion surgery.
Wettin dey happen Africa, raise your voice!
